- The Short Sandringham Flying Boat was a post war civil conversion of the wartime Sunderland patrol aircraft. Conversion usually involved removal of front and rear turrets and replacing them with streamlined fairings. The interiors were converted to hold up to 30 passengers, in luxury that has never been surpassed.
