The North American F-100 Super Saber was the first aircraft in the USAFs famous Century Series of jet fighters. It was the worlds first production supersonic fighter. Originally designed for air superiority, the F-100 was modified to the fighter-bomber role for the Vietnam War. Armament was 4 20mm canons with 200 rounds per gun, along with a variety of missiles and bombs carried externally. Total production for the F-100 was 1,274 aircraft.
